open window

perspired in ripple
dragged by impetus
over vain terrain of event
a paper full of waste
is dropped into water
it lives
determined
burgeoning like a flower
we flush
while the ash still clings
to the fingers
at the light
I stop
feeling the cornucopia of memories
solidifying as crystals in a cave
the petals of sweat
have drowned in a spiral
the longest arch
cuts the sky
from my cigarette a
doddle escapes
to meet the gliding
serpent of the stars.

sabios olvidos

poesia absurda

Antelo algo ayer
una piel se despegaba
de la calle de carne dura
abro el pétalo del cielo
una mosca sale con la voz
del tibio sol
dormir hoy
porque mañana la sensación
arrastrando desde un sueño
no uno pero mil
sabios olvidos.

hurry

Empty Buddha

Hurry
Spit it out
Cough up the phlegm of phenomena
The chunks of feeling caught between your teeth
The stench of memories
The bleeding gums that dawn, love and despair have corroded
Hurl the amalgam of sensation that never concentrates into meaning
Release a belch from the oozing pit of pain
Hurry
Drool a tiny string of age
Sneeze a jazz sound, a Pollock suspended in air
Spurt out onto napkins the vaulted skies
Sweat the burnt clay of slow and gentle hour
Let it out in trickles or exhalations the muddle and the smoke
Be done hurry become empty
Be empty before the fat feeds the fire
Before the bone becomes abysmal
Be empty – hurry

Absurd Poetry

suspendida

felicidad poema

felicidad
el objeto negro
erecto sobrio
en el otro lado
de donde sea
que camine

la luz
del semáforo
deja su solitaria luz
caer como una semilla
que nunca nace

el asfalto
es ahora
una huella más
del silencio

me detengo
para ver el
hielo de mi sombra
derretirse en charcos

la mancha
de la noche
cruza la calle
con una boca seca

la felicidad
al otro lado
como objeto
erecto y negro

casi levitando
como si no perteneciera
a esta tierra.

Poesía Moderna

existe sin fundamento

dead bird

No fue
del túnel
que mi boca
hacía en revolver
las espigas de la voz
clavaron su furor
como tres o cuatro pétalos
al torso de un caos

y como todo es negro
levantando vuelo
desde la espuma del tiempo
has dejado los planetas
rodar como corazones tristes
en el reflejo de las lunas

ser artista
con huesos sin olor
cubierto de pálidos asombros
reliquias que parecen tardes diáfanas
en un muerto pan de tierra

resplandor
que corta como ancla
la carne gris
del pensamiento
y suspende
todo lo que fue es será
en un centello
instantáneamente – el olvido

Poesía Moderna

oblivious fruit

I’m certain
she is unaware
how she imitates the overture
of the clouds
in her careless hairdo

I gave her a clue
both our clothes
resemble the pallor
of the asphalt

I wonder
if she is aware
that everything has begun
to drown
even the buildings,
her breasts
leaving marks
as streaks from petals
in the transiting void

I must avoid
telling her
beauty
is a curtain
that must be drawn open
to reveal our fractured clay

I say
she is oblivious
as a fruit
painted by an artist
that will not eat
her.

THE COLOSSAL FEELING OF BEING NOTHING

A young beast
leaves a footprint
on empty earth

the ears interpret
knives as foliage

in her crotch
a whole balcony of moss

against the black
odor of the stars

a firefly
cannot live a century

the blood sleeps
like hardened wax

something is missing
a shadow
pregnant with noon

a grey whiteness
wounds the heart

and death approaches
in a nude echo.

Nihilistic Poetry

about a wall

My eternity
is the wall
holy plane of cement

there
a bird
stuck in solid whiteness
upon inspection
the rusty limb
of a nail

dawn is
but a hole
a minor cave
between two framed
photographs of the sky
of Arizona

a babel rising
against this vertical horizon

books and books
leaning against
my immobile infinity

a finger
combs the
miniscule craters
as if caressing
a tooth of God

my wall
neither
warm or cold
a monk’s sigh
converted to stone

Absurd Poetry

de una anomalía.

nervadura hoja

desde la ventana
entraba la luz inconsistente
del sol
sin resistencia
su centelleo
párpados de tiempo

me asomé
a la ventana
vi una hoja verde
luego era amarilla
luego azul

gesticulaba
signos de origen primordial

obediente
seguí con mis ojos
movimientos naturales
inexplicables
estudié su vaga anatomía
el inquieto perfil de cuchillo

yació quieta de repente
exhibiendo piel de ángel
levitaba
como un pájaro verde
inmortalizado en su vuelo

todo se detuvo
los segundos se estrellaron
contra el instante

el tiempo dejó su marcha
la hoja se hizo cuidad
su nervadura calles
su curvatura la tierra

mi visión se hizo cuerpo
se arropo entre verde amarillo y azul
el sol cayó
como pluma
el polvo del alma
floto con el viento
entre todas las ciudades de hoja
