I am caught
inside the instant
of capture
my life a
photograph
in your unphotogenic hands
I am waiting
for the broadcasting
of shadows
in my primetime doubts
a ringtone of astrology
guiding me into my sins
I am needing
autoplay in my decisions
long playlists of pseudotruths
in my routine as an
answering
machine
that has
no
answers.
nihilistic poetry
This really resonates. It’s filled with so much truth. I see it all over.
I feel like its hard to find things in this day and age that say so much with so little – but this poem does just that.
Thanks dudes! I was so unsure about this one…. am glad it was able to resonate with you.
the elements of modern devices used are a very good metaphor. clever!
i have a poem similar to this: http://hames1977.wordpress.com/2009/07/13/monochrome/
